Gus Greensmith has joined Toksport for this year’s WRC2 season, where he will be driving the new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2.
The Brit and M-Sport confirmed the parties parted ways a few days ahead of Christmas. Greensmith had been driving M-Sport Ford rally cars for the last eight years.
“Finally, after eight years in a Ford, it’s time for something new and that’s the Škoda Fabia RS Rally 2,” Greensmith said.
“This year’s WRC2 championship will be by far the most competitive it has ever been, and so I’m really happy with the programme that’s been put together with Toksport and Škoda.
“I’ll be spending a lot of time in the seat this year, that’s for sure.”
The 26-year-old confirmed Rally Mexico in March will be his first event of the season: “For now I’ll be focused with testing until we start our season at Rally Mexico in March.”
M-Sport confirmed Ott Tänak and Pierre-Louis Loubet as their full-time WRC drivers in 2023. In WRC2, the team will field Adrien Fourmaux and Grégoire Munster.
