Sesks secures 6-round WRC 2025 programme

Mārtiņš Sesks will drive a Ford Puma Rally1 during six rounds of the 2025 WRC season.

25-year-old Mārtiņš Sesks has secured a 6-round Rally1 programme with M-Sport for next year’s WRC season. Sesks will start his season at Rally Sweden next month.

The Latvian’s programme after Rally Sweden has been announced already with visits to Portugal, Sardinia (Italy), Greece, Estonia and Finland planned. This effectively means Sesks’ programme is set to be completed after round 9 of 14 of WRC 2025’s calendar.

Last year, Sesks debuted at rallying’s top level, competing in two rallyies in a non-hybrid Rally1 Puma at Rally Poland and Rally Chile, while driving the hybrid Rally1 Puma at his home event in Latvia. Despite being down on power (in Poland), Sesks showed strong pace as he was in contention of the podium places.

Sesks on WRC 2025 programme: ‘Our goal is to add one more event with the Puma to our current list.’

“We are very excited to continue our collaboration with the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team this year. We feel truly honoured that our debut in the WRC’s Rally1 league last year has fostered such trust from both M-Sport and SafetyCulture. Additionally, the genuine interest from both long-standing and new sponsors from Latvia in supporting our efforts is very thrilling!

“This opportunity provides us with immense motivation to further our journey in the WRC’s Rally1 class. As we look ahead to the 2025 season, we anticipate many new challenges, but we are more motivated than ever and ready to learn, all while bringing joy to our fans. The chance to compete half of the 2025 WRC season promises to deliver invaluable experience for the years to come.

“Our goal is to add one more event with the Puma to our current list, the rally in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, we will be actively working throughout the season to secure the financial support necessary to make this goal a reality,” Sesks added.

M-Sport’s (full-time) WRC 2025 driver line-up consists of Grégoire Munster and Rally1 rookie Josh McErlean.
