2023 ERC Calendar unveiled

WRC Promoter has unveiled the 2023 ERC Calendar. Rally Hungary returns and the new Royal Rally of Scandinavia joins the European calendar.

Like 2022’s calendar, ERC’s 2023 calendar consists of 8 rounds. Rally Hungary returns as the final round of the season. A new rally joins the calendar alongside Rally Hungary as the ERC welcomes Royal Rally of Scandinavia.

Royal Rally of Scandinavia hosts the fifth round of the season. The all-new event is based around the Värmland region in Sweden. The Värmland region hosted the Swedish WRC round till 2020 before Rally Sweden moved to the more snow-sure city of Umeå. Royal Rally of Scandinavia will be run as a gravel event in July with some roads said to be the same, albeit on gravel instead of snow, as the former Rally Sweden WRC round.

Azores Rally won’t be part of the calendar next year. Further, RallyRACC Catalunya, which hosted a WRC round and an ERC round in the same weekend last October, won’t be part of either the 2023 WRC calendar or the 2023 ERC calendar.
