Craig Breen has been confirmed as a M-Sport Ford WRC driver for the 2022 and 2023 WRC seasons.
M-Sport confirmed Breen in a welcome video posted on social media on Wednesday morning. The Irishman has signed a two-year contract with the British team.
Breen joins M-Sport with immediate effect and will drive a Ford Puma WRC Rally1 on all WRC rounds next season It’s Breen’s first full WRC campaign of his career following part-campaigns with Citroën and Hyundai.
“I have been working towards achieving a full-time seat in the World Rally Championship since I was a little boy, so this was an opportunity I just couldn’t turn down” said Breen.
“It has been a long road for us in the World Rally Championship with many twists and turns but we have now been given a golden ticket to drive for the most prestigious marque in motorsport and fight for the World Rally Championship.”
Breen’s team mates for next year are yet to be confirmed.
